A football hooliganism expert has fears over the behaviour of England fans at the 2006 World Cup in Germany. Henk Groenevelt heads a hooligan monitoring unit set up by Dutch police and believes England's fans are one of several groups who could pose a risk. He told Radio Five Live: "I think the England fans and the Germans and some eastern European countries, they can have a lot of risk supporters. I think it will be very easy for England fans to travel to Germany." England's followers had a good record at the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan as well as Euro 2004 in Portugal. But Groenvelt believes that was because of the difficulty and cost associated with getting to the host nations. His concerns about trouble-making England fans were also recently heightened when he attended the national team's World Cup qualifier against Wales at the Millennium Stadium. "They were provoking, in an aggressive way - not only young people but older people too," he said. "They were drinking without shirts on, they don't integrate with the local supporters, they hate some people from other countries and refer to the war, and it doesn't make a nice relaxing atmosphere for the match."
